Zijnsoriëntatie is de verzamelterm voor de benadering die we in het Centrum hanteren bij de begeleiding, therapie en coaching van mensen, individueel en in groepen. In de naam van het Centrum, Centrum Zijnsoriëntatie, is dus Zijnsoriëntatie als het ons onderscheidende kenmerk opgenomen.
Met de keuze voor het zijn van een Centrum bedoelen we vooral dat we met onze cliënten en studenten een gezamenlijkheid of gemeenschap willen zijn. We zullen hier enkele omschrijvingen van het begrip Zijnsoriëntatie geven om daarmee onze benadering te verhelderen.
Zijnsgeoriënteerd betekent letterlijk: georiënteerd op Zijn. Dat kun je in de eerste plaats zien als gericht op wat er nu is. Doel van het werk is om steeds zoveel mogelijk met wat er nu is in contact te zijn en eigenlijk meer nog dan dat ons te leren openen voor wat er nu is en. Dat vraagt om ons te kunnen verzoenen met wat we in het ”nu” ervaren of dat nu binnen of buiten onszelf is. In de mate, dat ons dat ook echt lukt, zijn we in vrede met onszelf en met de situatie en is er geen strijd. Geen strijd met wat er zich voordoet is de belangrijkste voorwaarde om gelukkig te kunnen zijn.
